REGISTRATION

Each team’s coach must turn in a medical release/registration form for each competitor along with the $70 registration fee or adult men, $60 for all women, $50 for kids and spectators are $10 per day. (There is an additional fee of $20 per additional division to compete in.)
Registration fees are non-refundable. NO EXCEPTIONS. (Even if you or your school is disqualified)

REGISTRATION AND WEIGH-IN LOCATIONS:
All competitors must attend the weigh-in on Friday, April 18, 2008
(between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.)

RULES AND REGULATIONS:

All competitors must wear clean jiu-jitsu gi, in good condition, pants and jacket must be same color.
Any competitor who displays unsportsmanlike conduct before, during, or after the match, will be disqualified and forfeit the registration fee.
It is the competitor responsibility to find out when his/her match will take place. Any competitor who does not show up for a match will automatically forfeit the match and registration fee.
Any competitor who deliberately tries to hurt the opponent, (including slamming them while in their guard) will de disqualified.
All disqualified competitors will lose their registration fee.
Cleber Luciano is not responsible for accident, injury, or death as a result of the tournament.
The competitor with the most points or a submission will be deemed the winner
- If no points are scored it is up to the referee to make that decision.

Points will be awarded for the first and second place. They will be three and one respectively.
No bent knee locks, bicep locks, cervical guillotine, or heel hooks will be permitted. Use of these techniques is grounds for disqualification.
All other “normal” jiu-jitsu locks and chokes will be permitted.
Any competitor who displays an unwillingness to fight or go to the ground will have two points deducted from his/her score. A total of six points deducted constitutes a forfeit.
All age and weight categories will be added together from each team for final tally.
We reserve the right to combine weight categories.
The team with the highest score at the end of the tournament will win the
COPA PACIFICA.

All participants will receive a free T-shirt

T-shirts will also be sold to the general public

Food will be sold and must be eaten outside. There will be no food allowed inside.

Fighters may fight in only one age division

Fighters who do not make weight for chosen category, will be automatically disqualified
